The City of Sun will don colors and tradition on October 26 with the much-anticipated Catrinas Run, a relay race inspired by Day of the Dead culture. Organized by women from the running community, this event aims to honor memory, promote identity, and strengthen the Latino community’s bonds.
A Relay with Cultural Meaning
Teams of four female runners will each run 100-meter legs and cross the finish line together. Participants are encouraged to wear themed outfits inspired by La Catrina, combining sport with folklore to show that heritage and physical strength go hand in hand.

More than a Race: An Act of Connection
