Their motto says it all: “Leave the herd behind.” And yes, that’s exactly what they’re doing. Black Sheep Coffee, the London-born brand that shook up Europe’s coffee scene, is now landing in Wynwood with urban aesthetics, a menu that blends specialty robusta, Norwegian waffles, and unexpected matcha flavors—and, above all, a vibe that refuses to fit into the traditional.
They’re already known as the first chain to champion high-quality robusta, challenging the idea that arabica is the only path to “good coffee.” In London, the movement was disruptive. In Miami, it feels right at home.
From Coconut Grove to Wynwood
Their first Florida location opened recently in Coconut Grove, inside the Grove Central complex. The hype was real—long lines, viral waffles, and colorful matchas. But Wynwood feels like the natural next step: a neighborhood where art, music, and coffee collide.
While the exact opening date hasn’t been announced, the space is already under construction. Murals, creative collaborations, and their Instagram account @black_sheep_coffe are dropping visual clues of what’s to come.

What makes them different?
Black Sheep doesn’t just sell coffee. It sells attitude.
The menu is stacked with options that blend bold flavors with striking aesthetics:
- 100% specialty robusta coffee: more body, less acidity, double the punch
- Matcha lattes in unexpected flavors like Peaches & Cream, Blueberry, or Strawberries & Cream
- Norwegian waffles made fresh, with toppings ranging from Nutella and berries to savory avocado options
- And yes: espresso martinis, açaí bowls, and other surprises you wouldn’t expect in a coffee shop—but here, they just work
All of it served in a space that feels part design studio, part alternative bar. Neon signs, concrete, recycled wood, and bold colors invite you to stay, not just grab-and-go.
Wynwood, get ready for a shot of attitude
Black Sheep comes to Wynwood with more than just coffee—it brings a personality. They reject the generic and embrace the authentic.
In a city that thrives on contrasts, a coffee shop that defines itself as rebellious, minimalist, and bold has everything it needs to become the go-to spot for those craving something different—with flavor, with style, and with identity.
