If anyone understands that becoming a millionaire takes more than affirmations and vision boards, it’s Shelby Haas (@shelbysappshesells). In a viral TikTok video, this unfiltered entrepreneur shared 10 “unhinged” things she did to hit her first million — and they’re not just brutally honest, some of them will have you going, “Wait, really?”
Spoiler: It wasn’t all pretty, but it was all part of the process.

1. She bought a pink Porsche… as soon as she could
Once she hit $100K in monthly sales, the first thing she did was buy a pink Porsche.
“If you want to be different, you have to do different things. And what’s more different than driving a pink Porsche?”
More than a luxury, it was her personal statement: proving that it’s possible — and doing it her way.
2. She started selling pest control. Door to door.
Yep, literally. Shelby started out knocking on doors, selling pest control services like those salespeople most people try to avoid. But that’s where she says she developed the one skill that made her rich: confident, fearless cold selling.
3. She moved from Arizona to Miami (and that changed everything)
For her, living in a big city is key if you want to grow fast.
“This is where the connections are, the inspiration, the people.”
The new environment also helped her reset her habits and build a life more aligned with her goals.
4. She didn’t shut up (and turned that into a weapon)
Shelby says nonstop talking became one of her biggest weapons. She channeled her energy into content, sales, and building her presence.
5. She got haters… a lot of them (and used them as fuel)
“I’m someone people either love or hate. And that’s perfect.”
Shelby gets how the internet works: haters feed the algorithm. And if you’re not trying to please everyone, you become magnetic to those who do connect with you.
6. She got a Master’s degree (that didn’t make her rich)
By 22, she had already earned a postgraduate degree. Did it make her money? No. Was it brutally hard? Yes. Would she do it again? Probably not. But it’s part of her story — and part of the chaos.
7. She’s never missed a Pilates class
“What’s the point of being a millionaire if you’re ugly?”
Controversial line, yes, but it holds some truth: physical consistency was also part of her success. Because when you feel good, you sell better.
8. She always ate clean (even while working 18-hour days)
Shelby doesn’t romanticize the hustle. She went through phases of 18-hour days, locked inside, grinding. But even then, she prioritized her energy and her body.
9. She stayed in and worked while everyone else partied
While others were at brunch, she was at her laptop closing deals. Simple as that.
“To get a lot done in a short time, you have to be willing to make extreme sacrifices for a while.”
10. She told it all, fearlessly (and she’s not done yet)
Shelby ends the video saying she has plenty more craziness to share. And sure, some of it may sound extreme — but it all proves one thing:
there’s no success without uncomfortable decisions, without risk, without raw, intense energy.
